Workshops
STAFF WELLNESS
I have always enjoyed being able to plan and offer a creative and reflective space for the benefit of Staff Wellness. Whether this is a regular 1 or 2 hour group in a hospital setting, or a full day every few months somewhere else, it is something I am passionate about offering and delivering. These sessions can be adapted in any way in order to suit budgets or the needs of the staff, and can also be offered as a team-building exercise or event.

TEACHING, SUPERVISION & WORKSHOPS
For over 10 years I had the pleasure of setting up clinical placements in various Cape Town community settings, for Art therapy trainees from various EU countries, especially Ireland (Cork), but also the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. I offered these students / interns support and supervision as they gained a rich experience of working in wonderfully culturally diverse, but under-resourced clinical settings. They brought so much to the communities with whom they worked, but gained so much in return.
Part of what I offered these interns were lectures and supervision, and this is something I have done both formally and informally for over 20 years at various universities and colleges. I love teaching and am always happy to share my experience and skills, be it in a webinar, supervision sessions or an in-person lecture, or at a workshop or conference. I have been invited to give various keynote addresses at conferences.
Because much of my work in South Africa was about setting up Art Therapy services (most with under-resourced communities), I am always happy to be involved in assisting others set up services, or to offer art-facilitation skills to counsellors in under-resourced organisations or communities, especially in clinical settings. An example of this was facilitating the intensive 5-day art-skills experiential workshop in Nairobi, Kenya already mentioned, for 15 counsellors or therapists from several neighbouring countries. Similar workshops have taken place in various South African settings.
